One of my secondary roles at Jakupa has been as a member of the Marketing Committee, with a specific responsibility for digital marketing.

My biggest contribution to the role has been to conceptualise and develop a new website for Jakupa. I am currently in the process of refining the website, which is due to be published in late October.

I used                                      as the starting point of my re-design of the website. Analysis of our existing website showed that many of our key projects were being bypassed by viewers. The current list format of the website does not display key projects conspicuously. Data also showed that the average page viewing time is quite short.

I interpreted the data to indicate that a new website should have simplified, graphically oriented navigation.

I have been developing the new website (with a graphic-based web builder) with the following goals in mind:

a unified graphic interface across the site

intuitive visual-based navigation

emphasis on key projects and across Jakupa's 4 service sectors

more generous space for images

links to social media

mobile compatibility

Conceptualising the flow and graphic format of the new website.

Developing layout options on InDesign.

Another marketing task of mine has been to update the Jakupa brochure. The brochure is used for general marketing purposes, as well as in tender applications. The task has involved bringing the brochure into InDesign and setting up correct margins, as well as adding new pages and refining existing ones.
