SUBMISSION AND APPROVALS-OBTAINING RESPONSIBILITIES

I was allocated responsibility for producing and submitting drawings of our offices as riders to the existing drawings held by the City of Cape Town municipality. The drawings are in respect of our approval to rezone from residential to commercial land parcels.

 

Jakupa's offices were originally a pair of adjacent row houses, but these were gutted out and renovated as offices. My council submission captured the alterations from house to office as well as the merging of the buildings. (Below is my submission for one of the land parcels). 

 

Beyond producing the drawings, my submission has involved gaining heritage approval from city resident and provincial heritage bodies, establishing the need for a notarial tie between the office's adjacent land parcels, and responding to various other conditions of approval relating to traffic, fire regulations and worker safety.
